Due to the business obligations of BrownÂ’s employer, Plews and Sons Ltd, Brewers, wine and spirit merchants. Brown was a drayman with experience of delivering, and responsible for five horses. He worked in a heavy munitions area and liked to ensure there was beer for the working man.
