His employer, Kendra who is a Grade 3 man has gone to work as a fitters labourer at Warrenby works. He pretends he cannot leave this work though he is only a labourer. The employer brought up as a pawnbroker and is qualified to carry on this business. The personal claim was also refused as it was not considered strong enough. Jones appealed this decision stating that he has a delicate wife, five sons, two of whom are under five. Two older sons are in the Army, one wounded in hospital in London.
