Summary of case: Previous to the war I had four employees – two men and two apprentices – one apprentice joined the colours on the commencement of the war, one man joined in March 1015, one apprentice in May 1916, since which time my son and I, with the help of a youth who will be 18 in September, have been doing the printing. I am in my 69th year and am able to assist only by typesetting – cannot work the machines, two of which are driven by motor – If my son is called up my printing business will seriously suffer.’
