They have ploughed out 40 acres which is to be harvested on top of current crops. There is also a suggestion that William Arthur has health concerns and a doctor's certificate was supplied. Decision stated that he did not need to join the Volunteer Training Corps. Knowles has a certificate from the War Agriculture Executive Committee which allows him the right to appeal against his conscription, number 884
