Summary of case: “The farm on which the applicant works belongs to his father. The farm is 208 acres. The boy’s father is and has been for some time unfit to look after the farm and the boy has to manage the working of the Farm. There is just one other man who works on the farm temporarily, and he is also attested, and expects to be shortly called up. If the boy is taken away the boy’s father will have to give up the farm owing to his indifferent health. Dr. Brownlie can give a certificate showing that the boy’s father is in ill-health and unable to attend to farm duties.” In support his father said “his son is indispensable …and farm men are so difficult to get”
