Summary of case ‘I farm 400 acres the land being very scattered have 200 breeding ewes from 80 to 100 head of cattle of which 30 to 35 are milking we have ploughed out 10 acres of grass land and this man is the ploughman have 60 acres meadow this man another and myself is all the labour we have.’ Percival has a certificate from the War Agriculture Executive Committee which allows him the right to appeal against his conscription, number 1248
