Summary of case: ‘My farm is a sheep raising cattle rearing ad dairy farm. We keep 290 breeding ewes which with their lambs will amount to 600 or over in all. We milk 20 cows and summer all together 50 head of cattle. We have three working horses and one yearling. The farm is 456 acres and I have only a boy of 17 to help. He is particularly skilled at shepherding and in the management of stock. You will by the figures given see that I cannot maintain the maximum output of food without him [Musgrave]’ Musgrave has a certificate from the War Agriculture Executive Committee which allows him the right to appeal against his conscription, number 605
