Summary of case: Runs his own business and all his savings are wrapped up in the business. His only assistant has joined the army and he now runs the business on his own. If he joins the army he will be force to close his business and be unable to sell his stock worth £1000, he is also liable for the rental of his premises. He feels if the business was to close he would be unable to start again after his military service due to being ruined. He has been passed A1 fit but feels due to being flat footed he couldn't not march far.
