Summary of case: He is essential to the running of the milk department of the Cooperative Society, being the only man supervising the women employed there. He has been a member of the local Volunteer Corps since its inception. ‘Milk is a necessity, and we must have some competent person to carry on this section of our work. I may state that in making further enquiries that this man has not been medically examined and therefore beg to suggest that “class A” may not be his right classification and am making arrangements for him to be medically examined at Middlesbrough at once.’
