Summary of case: Requests exemption from all combatant and non-combatant roles. He believes war is a wicked and senseless method of settling disputes between nations. I could not slaughter fellow like myself it would be horrible and ghastly to me, my conscience absolutely forbids it. Neither can I accept other service as this only means releasing other men to continue this awful bloodshed. If I have to suffer it must be for a cause which the Christian spirit I have been brought up to believe in tells me is right.
