I have lost all my men, 3 having gone into the army and one to munitions and I have only my son working for me……Ellis is not strong, he has suffered from St Vitus dance since he was 10 years of age, had kidney trouble and rheumatism and is grade 2. As he will not make an efficient soldier I ask that he should be given conditional exemption failing which 4 months exemption to help me through the busy season.’
