Also to assist his wife in the Licensed House. I was classed C3 in August 1915 and again classed C2 in July 1917. I was asked by the national service representative at Thirsk if I was willing to undertake work of national importance three days a week owing to a missunderstaning [sic] on my part I failed to grasp his meaning. I am now quite willing to undertake any such work as the tribunal may suggest; so long as I am at Home at nights to help in the Public House.
