Summary of case: ‘I am a farmer and the estate woodsman on the estate of Sir Matthew Dodsworth.’ The farm is in a very hilly district and the work is dangerous for those not accustomed to the area. Robert is the only skilled labour he has on his farm and he is solely responsible for the running of the farm. George Hartley states that previous to the war Robert had in Isolation Hospital with Rheumatic fever and suffers from valvular disease of the heart.’
