Storey appeals against this decision stating: ‘Very serious hardship as if I am called to the colours I shall be compelled to close my business. ……My liabilities are so heavy that the realization of my stock and book debts will leave no margin sufficient for starting business after the war I shall have lost the connection made during the last 14 or 15 years.’
