Summary of case: Twyman had been granted temporary exemption to 13 May 1918. The military representative had asked for it to be altered to 6 April 1918 and made final. Twyman had bought a new farm and was in a difficult situation as he needed to plough and get ready for seed as soon as possible. He said he had barely been given the chance to speak at the earlier tribunal. A note with the papers states the farm was rented only as it says that Twyman was a tenant from 6 April 1918 for three years at £225 per annum, and that the landlord was Twyman's grandfather.
