Summary of case: The appellant is married to a wife who is so ill she is unable to look after them, suffering with Tubercular Glands and Epilepsy, sometimes 3 or 4 fits a day. He has 2 young children and as there are no near neighbours he must continually call at the cottage to check on the children. The appellant is classified B1. His employer is serving abroad and the appellant is the only man left of military age. If he cannot remain the house would have to be closed up. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/3773]
