Summary of case: Appeals for his son as he himself is unable to do anything on the farm. He suffers from heart problems and asthma in addition to rheumatism. He wishes to take on additional land but would be unable to do this if he loses the services of his son. In March 1916 his son was rejected and sent back home. Rejected again in March 1917 as son unfit for military service but in Feb 1917 he was recalled for examination and passed B1.
