Summary of case: The military representative had objected to the renewal of his exemption on the grounds of not doing 75% war work. The work is war work, agricultural and chemical which has been executed under certificates. If he is called up the business will be forced to close after 51 years. On the 13 Dec Hardgrave was instructed joined the Voluntary Aid Detachment. The local tribunal states that They had adjourned the case until Hardgrave had obtained a protection certificate. This was not granted as the percentage of time spent on war work was insufficient.
