His other son joined the army as a volunteer and has been in France with the Royal Engineers Special Chemical Section. Stanley Oglesby is apprenticed and helps him as a Confidential Analytical Chemists Assistant. Many of his medical preparations are of a secret nature and cannot be confided to any person who is not a member of the family. According to M 130 of the Schedule of Protected Occupations page 23 Code No' 1163 my son is in a protected occupation. Dr D Sanderson long certified that Stanley Oglesby suffers from partial nasal obstruction and much from cough especially in winter. He has a weak heart, gets out of breath on slight exertion and has very little physical endurance. Three family members had died on consumption. The local tribunal states that Stanley Oglesby is capable of some military service and on health ground would not be granted exemption. With regard to his education and training although this will be interfered with, it is no more than that of many others.
