Summary of case: The appellant claims exemption on being in a certified occupation and ill health. The local tribunal reviewed the requirements of the trade and was of the opinion that the Co-operative Society's Bakery was over-staffed in comparison with other bakeries. The health grounds are not sufficient to justify exemption. Although in a certificated occupation it is not necessary that Clarke should remain in civil employment.
