Summary of case The appellant was originally rejected under the Lord Derby Scheme. He was later classed as Cii then granted conditional exemption which was not varied on a subsequent application. His medical papers were lost by the authorities and he was again medically examined and passed a B1. He requested to be sent to the Central Medical Board for the following reasons: 1) accident resulting in a cracked knee joint. 2) Accident where his eye was pierced by an umbrella. 3) Heart problems. The local tribunal states that there was a review of his case and the conditional exemption was withdrawn. On 1 Nov 1917 a decision was made for him to be medically re-examined under new medical board and he was to be referred to the Medical Board. The Chairman also agreed this on 10 Dec 1917.
