Summary of Case: Business grounds. If I have to go into the army it would mean closing down my business. Therefore loosing [sic] my customers. I have orders booked for well into next year. And only myself to do the work. Before the war I employed 4 or 5 men. I have been in business for 16 years, and got a good connection. I am deaf in one ear and the other partly gone. I cannot see in the dark. I have a weak spine through an accident three years ago. I am 42 years of age in Oct 6. Passed B1. 12 October 1917 sent for re-examination by medical board
