Summary of case: Walker was initially examined by six doctors who all agreed that he was totally unfit for any category of military service, with hammer feet and damage to his leg. A letter from a doctor confirming this is attached. However a more recent brief medical examination had declared him B2. The council didn't wish to influence the tribunal's decision but would be pleased if he could continue in his post. When the appeal was dismissed, the council appealed for a further two weeks to see him to the end of the season as he was responsible for the lives and safety of bathers.
