His domestic circumstances were fully considered by the Appeal Tribunal and he was granted a substantial period of temporary exemption going to work on munitions as once, which he did. The Tribunal regarded the work on which he was engaged as of sufficient National Importance. He is quite willing to undertake this, although is often means long hours. He is a member of the 22nd Battalion of the West Riding Volunteer Regiment and is in training with them.
