Summary of case: The appellant is a married man with two young children. He was classified as a B1 category but on being sent to the Central Medical Boards his medical classification was reduced to C1. He submitted (1) that in view of 3 eminent men's certificates that he was suffering from ear disease and one advising an operation that he would be a hindrance to the Army. (2) Bearing in mind his classification and the instructions on the Board of Agriculture, he ought to be retained on the farm, (3) that his work is of National importance, (4) that he would suffer financial hardship if he had to go.
