Summary of case: Previously granted exemption to 31 Jul 1917 (case 2723). Application for extension to certificate. Alderson's business is responsible for the handling of diseased carcasses, for refining of fats for supply to food businesses and for producing grease for supply to industry, including some munitions industry. They have lost some men to the military and Alderson now runs the business with one labourer over military age and his ageing father. Alderson also claims that his work is a certified occupation.
