Summary of case: I am Managing Director of the firm of Messrs R Jackson & Son Ltd., 15 Bridge Street, Whitby, wholesale and retail clothiers, hatters and hosiers and general outfitters. This business has been established since 1770 and we have a very large business connection. I have been connected with it for 14 years.
..My assistant died 3 weeks ago and I am left without anyone to carry on the business as my wife cannot manage without an experienced male assistant. She cannot keep the books and is obviously unfitted to measure men for their clothes. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/2784
