The local tribunal adjourned the case and asked the military authorities to effect a substitution. However, the letter from the military representative states that the military authorities will not do this. Another brother of the man claimed for is also in the army and having regard to the magnitude of the business, the tribunal were of the opinion that further time should be given . It will be observed from the Medical certificate that the employer could not be left in sole charge of the business. The military representative appealed against this decision stating: This business is not of national importance being that of a fancy jeweller, the man is of suitable age and condition for military service. Their [sic] will be no hardship other than from a business point and we are instructed not to take this into consideration.
