Summary of case: The appellant appeared before the local tribunal on the 3 July 1917 He claims to be within the Schedule of Protected Occupations and the tribunal in accordance with R.133 withdrew his certificate. In his statement of appeal Smith writes that he ought to have time given him but the local tribunal had had the case under consideration since 24 April last, since when several adjournments have taken place and the appellant told that he must obtain his exemption (if entitled to one) from the Ministry of Munitions . Having regard to the appellantÂ’s age and medical classification the local tribunal were strongly of opinion that unless exempted by the Ministry of Munitions he should join the forces .
