Summary of case: ‘This man is now auditing the books of limited companies and releasing another man who is engaged on investigations for the War Office. He has been twice rejected by the Army Medical Officers and has now been classed C3. One of our partners Mr W h Peat has been appointed to an important position at the Ministry of Food and will require the services of many of our staff to examine books and obtain particulars necessary for determining the exact cost of food supplies. We are also engaged in important work for various government departments and controlled firms and it is with great difficulty that we are now able to carry out their requirements. We contend that this case should have been reviewed as one coming under the Accountant list of certified occupations which came into operation in June 1917
