Summary of case: Williamson had been granted conditional exemption on the grounds that he remains in his present occupation as a dentist. As well as serving the local population he also attends to the needs of soldiers often without payment. It is said that Williamson applied for a commission to serve as officer in his profession as a dentist but was told that the army did not require him in his trade. The appellant is requesting a revision of the decision by the local tribunal on the grounds that it is no longer in the national interest to remain in his current occupation.
