The military representative said Yeoman should join as his skills would be ’most useful on the roads in France.’ Yeoman asked for exemption because of hardship, as his wife was delicate, having been in hospital for two years and now ‘under Doctor's Orders’. They had two daughters. His request was declined. Yeoman did ask for leave to appeal to the Central Tribunal but the Clerk of the tribunal said this would not be agreed as it was out of time.
