Summary of case: The appellant is the driver of steam and motor ploughs and a threshing engine as well as being engaged in farm work on an extensive farm of 450 acres. The new army council instruction is that as the work of ploughing with motor plough is whole time farm work and as he is a skilled agricultural worker as well he should be exempt.
