Summary of case: Anthony Fawcett is a farmworker on the family farms 15 miles apart; one of 320 acres, the other 85. These are being run as one business to save extra labour as four brothers, class A are already in the army. The remaining two due to ill-health are unable to manage either farm by himself. There is a further application on file dated 20 November 1917 however it was determined that the tribunal could not consider this appeal as it was a fortnight too late. [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/2801]
