Summary of case: The original appeal to the local tribunal was by his employer the Cleveland Flour Mills Ltd who stated that he was in sole charge of all cash and has no assistance whatsoever and had more than 6 yearsÂ’ experience. He was granted a certificate of conditional exemption by the recruiting officer at West Hartlepool. The local tribunal granted him conditional exemption and noted that he was classed as B1. The military appeal was on the grounds that he was only 33, passed fit for B1 and considered that his work could be done by a woman or man over military age.
