Summary of case: My son is the only support in my business and as practically all my customers are farmers, living across a wide area, my two horses and carts must be on the road every day to keep the farmers supplied. In this respect my son does the same work as a miller’s cartman. My accounts and books have to be kept up to date especially as many of my customers pay half yearly. My oldest son is in France and I have no other person, I trust, to fall back on.
