Summary of case: Parker, a tenant farmer, produced and supplied milk to Redcar with assistance from five boys and metal carriers from Warrenby Works. Application for further exemption refused on 21 Apr 1917. Chairman of Appeal Tribunal instructed this case to be reheard and letters were sent to Parker and recruiting officer at Redcar to this effect on 26 Apr 1917. Solicitor's letter of 27 Apr 1917 states Parker had already been called up. A further letter of 28 Apr 1917 queries the power of the tribunal to re-hear a case after a man has received his calling up papers.
