Summary of case: The local tribunal had granted exemption as his work in a fertiliser works was in the national interest. The military representative disagreed and appealed against their decision: ‘That it is not desirable in the national interest that he should remain in civil life. This man is employed in the chemical works late H & E Albert. The cases of three men employed at the same works were recently before the appeal tribunal and were adjourned in order that all the men of military age employed there might be brought before that Tribunal. I accordingly appealed to the local tribunal for a review of this man’s exemption, and now appeal against this decision, so as to bring him before the Appeal tribunal.’
