Summary of case: There is no justification for the retention in civil employment of a man whose work is to conduct an Orchestra at a Music hall. In so far as the mans work is at the Record office of the Territorial Association the War Office can arrange with the Associations respecting that work. The real desire in this case is to keep the man in civil life for his musical work and that ought not to be allowed.
