Summary of Case: ‘I have two children and classed C 1. I have two houses partly commenced for which everything is made. I have been waiting for a bricklayer to finish some other work. In the meantime I am working for J B Powells who are erecting new steel plant. They have applied to the Minster of Munitions for my exemption. If I am allowed to work there I can attend to my own houses at night and Saturdays. This would save me much financial loss.’ [See also NRCC/CL 9/1/2336]
