Summary of Case: Simpson has been passed fit for general service. He claims that this is a wrong certification and he is only fit for sedentary work and he wished to submit certificates from Dr Cuff and Dr Rhodes in support of the fact that he suffers from ‘very pronounced flat feet and an enlarged heart.’ He is the only man left in his class of work at the newspaper and has the support of his employers. He also works as a night telephone operator, which is of national importance, particularly on occasions of air raids or other military or naval activity.
