Summary of Case: His principal and usual occupation is a certified one and ministers to national interests. He is a one man business within the meaning of the regulations. He has exceptional business and domestic obligation with a wife, child and aged father and mother, which should be taken into account, particularly as my only brother who had a cycle and motor business, closed down the same to join the Army many months ago. Wilkinson employs one man and sends 20,000 clog soles to Lancashire every year. If he closes his business eight sole makers and seatsmen will be thrown out of work for lack of clog blocks. His coal business employs one man four days a week. If he is called up the business he has built up over 25 years will be lost
