Appellant: Capt. G W O Huddart, Military Representative
Summary of case: Gamble worked on Sir Everard Cayley's estate and had been granted a temporary exemption previously conditional on him catching 50 couple of rabbits a week. There appears to be some debate as to whether he had any right of appeal. He was mobilized on 10 Apr 1916, transferred to the Reserve almost immediately as unfit, re-examined in Jan 1917 and placed in category B.i. The military representative therefore states that he has no right of appeal. However the local tribunal contend that Gamble was rejected and not transferred to the Reserve which would give him a right of appeal. The fact that he was attested was also felt by the military authorities to rule out a right of appeal.
