Summary of case: The application is by the military representatives against the decision of the local tribunal to exempt Sydney Terry Pybus for three months to allow him to sit an examination. “I am managing (with the assistance of a girl), Grocery, Dried Fish, and Seed (Garden and Agricultural) business for my mother, who is at present in a Mental Institution, and having no one else to look after same. This occupies part of my time. The greater part of my time I am serving my apprenticeship with Mr A.J. Leeming M.P.S. Chemist and Druggist (a Dispenser to Insurance Act) learning the trade of Chemist and Druggist. In my spare time when off duty I am being educated and trained to pass the Matriculation Examination to enter college as a Medical Student, with intention of entering the Medical Profession. This examination is held in June and September.”
