Summary of case: ‘My son the said John Seymour Magson has had very bad health for sometime now. I have one son in France. I have altogether a family of 12 and my son for whom I am appealing assists me to keep them. Eight of my children are under 14 years of age. My wife is very delicate. There is no other carter in Huntington and both my time and that of my boy is fully occupied. I am also doing the scavenging at Strensall Camp and if my bot is taken I shall have to give up the work.’
