Summary of case: Appellant states that Woardby is not in a certified occupation and that is does not seem right that a man of 21 should be granted exemption wholly on the grounds that his mother is bedridden. A previous certificate has been granted on grounds of hardship. ‘If his father and mother are wholly dependent on him, the amount of allowance they would receive from the government would probably be sufficient to provide suitable female help to look after his mother.’
