Summary of case: ‘My father died nine days ago so I am the only son left out of three sons the other two being in the army.’ They are the only cab and hearse providers between Northallerton and Osmotherley. They are the only provider of buses between Brompton and Northallerton. They have a small holding with 3 cows and 57 horses. Windress’s mother is dependent upon the business for her income, even taking into account the money from his brother. Jack Windress has been passed Ci fit. The local tribunal recognised hardship in this case and “gave him extra time on that account”. Windress is asking for further time.
