He has worked on two transport boat projects, one for seven months, one for 5. Then employed by T.D.Ridley & Sons with Mr Tait being his employer, in the munitions works department for 10 months. He then obtained work at Stephen Coates Ltd to help build a new shell shop for Dorman Long & Co. The local tribunal appeal was dismissed, as no employment at Messrs Ridley could be established, even though Mr Tait supported his application. A temporary exemption was granted and he was requested to join the munitions department, which he failed to do. It was established the mother and sister had means and another sister who lived with them could provide support. No domestic hardship would ensue.
