Summary of case: The appellant is the remaining son at home, his only brother having been injured with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. His bedridden widowed mother is very weak with heart disease which places her life in danger. She has been forbidden to experience any anxiety as it could be fatal. His two young sisters of 12 and 14 years attend school and are to be provided for.
