Summary of case: The appellant's work is extremely specialised and 'it is impossible to get women to do this work'. It is a family run business and the other brothers joined the army whilst the appellant stayed at home to keep the business together. Appellant is under contract with butchers and it would be a serious loss, as well as being of national importance in view of the large quantity of sausages being eaten by the troops. The Goldbeater Skins are of the utmost importance for which there is a huge demand by doctors attending the wounded.
